2021 Magnolia Meltdown Presented by St. Dominic’s!
September 25, 2021
at Renaissance in Ridgeland, MS
Hello racers! Here is the deal. It is with a temporary sense of disappointment that we announce our decision to postpone the next running of the Magnolia Meltdown Presented by St. Dominic’s until September 25, 2021. Our team had really committed to putting on a stellar event this March but Covid remains enough of a threat within our community that we believe the right move for our event and our community is to postpone until the Fall. By that time we trust most people will be vaccinated and the majority of the COVID-19 pandemic will be in the rearview mirror. This will allow us to offer the Magnolia Meltdown with a true sense of celebration and allow less restriction in number of entrants and hopefully allow us to stage the type of event which makes us proud and that you expect. We plan to have the post-race festivities with music, food and beverages and this should be much more feasible in September.
All current race registrations will automatically transfer to the September 25th race date and no other action is needed. However, if the September 25th race doesn’t fit your schedule, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be provided the option to defer to the 2022 race or receive a full refund.
Thank you in advance for your understanding. Don’t give up. The MM will be back!
Get the vaccine. Keep wearing the mask, a bit longer and do the social distancing thing.
But, stay fit, eat well, and keep on training. We’ll see you in September.
Rick Guynes, MD, Race Director
